Pioneers in Dars Committee
Padne Jamaath Mahallu consists of a vast area in the early stage bordering Palthyara Edachakai in the East and Bichare Kadapuram in the West, Mayinkuttikadu Kaithakadu in the North & Kokkakadav in the South.
Former Karanavar Sthanikal (Head of the Family) of Padne Mahallu were: 1) Thayal Malikayil Mayin Musliar 2) Madapuram KunhiMoideen Kutty Musliar 3) Vadake Koleth Poyyakadavath Abdulla 4)Peringolon Valiya Mohammad 5)Moolakkade Mayin 6) Miyanath Mohammad 7) Thekke Koleth Kuhippari (Thekke Kadavath).
A public meeting of Padene Residents was held in the year 1936 in the Panchayat Court (Kodathi at Tayl Bazar, built by Pandyala Kadoth Family) presided by Janab K.P. Cheriya Mohammad Haji which decided to establish a Dars under the Jamaath Committee followed by Karanava Sthani’s meeting presided by Thekke Kolth Abdul Kader Haji of Thekke kadavath at the Dars Hall of old Juma Masjid built by ancestors of Tip Sultan Era. An elected body of Dars Committee headed by V.K.Kunhi Moideen Kutty (Soummade) and officiated by: P.K.C. mohammad Kunhi Patel (Vice President)G..S. Abdul Hameed (Vice President), K.P.Cheriya Mohammed Haji (Treasurer)
S.V. Abdul Kader Master the founder Gen Secretary of Dars committee and a leading personality of Primary Education in the area. P.V. Abdul Rahman – Shaapkaran (Joint Secretary). Members: T.M.Kunhi Moideen Kutty, K.P. Ibrahim, V.K.P.Mohammad Kunhi, T.K.P. Kunhippari , M.P. Abduulah, Abdul Kader, A.R. Mohammad, P.C. Mohammad Kunhi, V.K. S. Ismail Moulavi, Pattillath Abubakar Moulavi, Thekekekattil Malikayil Mohammed Kunhi, P.k. Abdul Kader, Beechadath Abdullah with additional nominees from Mangalore (See –Padnaites in Mangalore ).
Later in 1938 V.K. Ahmad Kutty was nominated as President. Then since 1945 P.K. C.Mohammad Kunhi Patel, a Village Ruler and prominent Mediator in the community, T.M.C. Sulaiman Haji, V.K.P. Abdul KaderHaji, an undisputed and generous personality, M.P.Assainar Haji, V.K.P.Khaled Haji were President from time to time and T.M.C.Mohammad Kunhi Haji is the present President.
Parakadavath Kuttycha, M.P Ahmed Kunhi Haji , C. Kunhamed Haji,.U.C.Mohammad kunhi haji. S.V. Mohamed Kunhi, , V.K.S. Moidutty Haji, Ateepil Mohamed Haji,, , L.K Hassainar Haji, P.V Sulaiman Haji and P.Sulaiman Haji (Karnore-Veetil) & U.M.Abdullah Musliar (Manager) are among the prominent leaders of Dars Committee. .
The representation criteria of ‘Karanappadu’ were set to be in the following order. Head of the Families (Karanavors), Ulamahs and Umaras (Scholars & Leaders) and their nominees. The hierarchy is ------------- members from (1) Udinoor, (2) Madapram, (3) Vadakkekolayam, (4) Thekkekolayam (5) Achummade, (6) Mulakkade (7) Pattillath and (8) Kavvayikkaran.
Present Karanore Sthaniees (Head of Families)
In the year 1945 a Madrasa for Quran learning was established and run by T.K.Mohammad Musliar , the author of “Malik Al Izaam) a story book as well as religious scholar and tutor=cum orator in the area and supported by S.V.Cheriya AbdulKader,Paddokaran P.K. Abdul Rahman Moulavi, A.C.Ukas Moulavi .
