Padne is centrally located at southern coastal part of Kasargod District. It has got road and rail links with adjacent places like Chervathur railway station in Chervathur Panchayat, Trikarpur railway station in Trikarupur Panchayat, Chandera train halt and Kalikkadavu bus stand in Pilikkode Panchayat and twenty minutes drive from Chervathur via Kaithakkadu and also ten minutes from famous Fish landing center and Kottakunne Maqam at Madakkara via Kavunchira, the beautiful valley of Kaithakad Hills. Access from south to Padne is Trikarpur via Nadakkavu.

Oori Mukku is an important junction where Mavilakkadappuram road meeting with Padne main road is mainly used by fishermen and agricultural communities, Ganish Abdul Rahman Haji Mukku so called Ganish Mukku opening way for Government Agricultural Research centre in N.H. road Pilikkode Panchayat, a parallel road in the East  to the main road stretched to the Edachakkai bridge from Kalikadoth junction  via Kavunthala, Rahmaniya Madarasa, Market, Markaz complex, Govt. Hospital, Al Ameen Masjid up to Edachakkai Bridge. The same road also diverted to KKC road, Chokkikandam and Kottyamdar Masjid.

Bannathan Mukku commemorating the name of a legendary Laundry man Subbrayan who lived and died over there serves as an access to Kavunthala which is connected to Padne Govt. U.P. School cross lane,  in between Vadakkepram Bazaar and Kavunthala from the main road. Pallikkathodu Mukku later known as Musa Haji Mukku where approach roads from Padne Kadavu, Thaayal Bazaar, Old Bazaar, Kottayam Dar, Kandilot, etc. are meeting. Market road passing through Padne Village Office in the east and old bazaar laying in the west. Juma Masjid corner linked with various roads. Thekkepuram Puthiya Palli (Masjid Al Jadid) lane extended to Jamamasjid in the North and LK Colony in the South. Padne Hospital (Primary Health Centre) cross road to Aalakka. Al Ameen Lane to reach Manohara Kaippad and finally Bandu road to reach islets like Thekkekadu and Valiyaparambu Panchayat. In fact, unlike other coastal areas the whole Padne is linked with Road network.
